A Gray Area

My uncle was released from prison a few days ago. My mother called to tell me so. She said that he needs $500 to go to Vegas (his wife and kids live there). My parents have money saved in my bank account, so I had to give it to him. I spent my lunch yesterday going to take money out of an ATM, and finding my uncle to give him $500 cash.

It felt wrong. I know my uncle, and I know his wife and kids, but... I don't know how to feel about that. I know his story, and my parents are tight on money right now, since my dad hasn't been able to go back to work, so $500 seemed.... a bit too much. Of course, it's their money, so it's their choice. He is family, so I can understand why they would help him. I would help my cousins in a heartbeat if they needed it.

Of course, none of my cousins have ever been to prison...

......wait.......... never mind.

I'm getting money back from my taxes. I've decided that I'm in desperate need of a haircut, so I'm going blond. Once I get my haircut, I'll put the rest of the money in the bank and add it to my parents' amount. They need money, and they wont' take it otherwise.
