I had a dream that I went up to the Stratosphere in Las Vegas. I got an all-day pass to go on every rollercoaster. I went on one of them and it went off the edge. Rather than falling, though, it just did loop after loop. Then it went back onto the building. It was pretty fun.

There, Jaime. I blogged. Is there anything else I can do for you? Shine your many shoes? Feed your dogs? Wash your car?

And My Car Radio Isn't Working...

I'm having trouble logging into Garbage Disco Box to check my messages. I have like three unread messages, and now I can't read them. =*( Is anyone else having this problem?

I had a sleepless night yesterday. By 2:45, I was out the door on my way home. I was making good time, I suppose, but being the idiot that I am, I decided to take the 210 and caught traffic. It was ridiculous. Everyone was at a stop. There must have been an accident, because the entire freeway was blocked off by police, and a helicopter landed on it. It was about 40 minutes before I finally made a three-point turn and exited through the on-ramp (it's okay, the policeman said it was fine). So yeah, I didn't get home until about 4:30am. By then, I wasn't tired. I read a bit of Wicked and then forced myself to go to sleep. I guess my sleep schedule is now out of whack... which is fine, because I love being awake at night.




Oh, btw, I finished The Da Vinci Code a week or two ago. I thought it was pretty good. It kept me on the edge of my seat. It did drag a little bit, and the ending was not what I expected it to be... I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. Either way, I still liked the book and can't wait to see the movie this May. :)

I had a dream that I was tutoring my ex-neighbors in mathematics. It was fucking complicated! Stupid fractions...

We have no hot water. I'm tired of cold showers. I don't just mean cold. I mean up-in-the-mountains, freeze-your-ass-off-cold showers. Muy frío! We called the gas company and they said they can't make it here until the 27th. Only fifteen days left... Showers are overrated anyway, right?


....right? I can be like the French! Oui, oui! La puanteur est attrayante, non?


Okay, it's not. Dammit. Cold showers, it is.

And it's colder than hell!

I bought Wicked by Gregory Maguire. I can't wait to get started on it. Of course, I still have to finish The Da Vinci Code. I just started it (I know. Slacker.) but I am already enjoying it very much. :) My goal is to finish reading it before the movie is out in theatres. I think it's going to be released sometime this summer...?



This is just one of the many immigration protests that went on in California. This is close to Olvera Street in Los Angeles. As we walked back to the car, we saw group after group of protestors. I decided to take Ellie's camera and snap a photo. They were more than willing to stop and pose for it. :) Very friendly people. I hope they get what they want.

My carpet is black. I was in an arty mood yesterday and decided to doodle with some pencil and charcoal. I guess I should have put newspaper down or something. Now I have to either clean the carpet (no) or buy a rug (maybe).



I finally found my Emiliana Torrini CD! I was upset because I couldn't find it anywhere. I thought I had lost it forever. Yay me! Of course, you guys could care less because you have no idea who she is, right? Am I right? Of course I am.

I made a chocolate cake and now I'm going to go eat some.

Show Your Bones

I'm really enjoying the new Yeah Yeah Yeahs album. It's similar to the first one in many ways (perhaps because it's the same band), but this one is a bit more... toned down? Still, I like each and every song on this album. :) Go buy it.

Still looking for a job. There aren't many jobs available here in Hesperia. It makes it a bit more difficult to find anything. Half of this place is fast food. I'll have to go work at the IHOP, or I could always be a human billboard...

Backwash

I caught my brother drinking out of the milk carton. Gross. "It's okay, I don't backwash." My ass!

I woke up at 5am this morning. Had a late night yesterday. I didn't get much sleep, but I'm functioning surprisingly well (except for a bit of a tummy ache).

Discovered a new bruise. This time, it was from baseball. Yes, my cousins came over this weekend (well, only less than half of them) and we played baseball. We didn't have a bat, so we used a large stick... so we played stick ball. :) My team won, of course.

Julian (left) wanted to play, so I played catch with him.








We also went bike riding and got in trouble for riding on private property... it's all dirt! It all looks the same to me!


Anywho, 'twas lots of fun. :)

That's right. Here I am. A blogging whore, once again. Yeah, I just couldn't resist.

I'm thinking about getting a MySpace.com account again. Not that I'll use it much, but I've gotten a few requests from people to put one up. We'll see.

Well, not much to report today. It's a bit chilly here, but it'll get warm soon. After all, this is the desert.

I'm going to bake a cake now.
