Water Never Tasted So Good

I feel raw. But it was totally worth it. The girls came over last night and we watched “Almost Famous.” Well, we watched about half of it. We drank every time someone said “rockstar.” That movie is great. It makes me homesick, for some reason.

I’m re-reading Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close by Jonathan Foer. The book is refreshing. It takes me to an entirely new place. It’s like a drug. I want to OD on it. 48746273342594663

I've now bought II & III from Led Zeppelin. I was going to get IV, but figured I should pace myself. It leaves me in a haze.

I tried to write again, but I seem to have writer’s block. I can’t move forward with my story. I need inspiration…. Or to get drunk. Of course, I need a computer to write because it’s faster than writing it down on paper. In the meanwhile, I've started drawing again. Or, I should say, I've started an attempt at drawing again. It’s not coming out quite right, though. I could tell already. I’m pretty rusty- it’s been a couple of years. The eyes are not right. The shadowing is okay. I just have to work on it. I love it, though. It’s nice to just sit down on the floor, with all of my pencils and erasers and other drawing tools around me, scattered, with the light shining down and the radio turned up. No distractions.

I lobs et.

Sweat It All Out

I finally got my Led Zeppelin CD in the mail. I absolutely love it. I have already fallen in love with Robert Plant's voice, and I'm amazed at Jimmy Page's quick fingers on that guitar. Excellent. Excellent. I wish I'd lived in that time.... then again, who's to say I didn't. ;)

The weather is pretty weird here. A couple of days ago, the sun was scorching hot, and the temperature was at 113 degrees at one point. Now, the sky is overcast, and it was 68 degrees when I was driving to work. Strange, indeed, but it's a nice break from the blistering heat.

I'm so excited about Halloween! I know it's 2 months away, but we've already got an idea for our division at work; We're going to do a Royal Tenembaums theme; three of us with jump suits, I'll probably be Gweneth Paltrow's character. It'll be great. :) As for outside of work, I'm not sure yet. I have some time to come up with something.

Back to work!
